15 Days of the Holidays-Day 11

Hi All! Welcome to Day 11 of our 15 Days of the Holidays here at Memory Works. Do we have some amazing designers or what?! You can't help but be inspired to celebrate the season with a little crafty goodness after you see what our fantastic design team has come up with.

Today's mini is made from a file folder, Kraft cardstock and the 6x6 paper pad from My Mind's Eye All Is Bright collection. Let's take a look:

The front and back covers are covered in Kraft card stock and decorated with various stamps and punches. (And a little bling, of course.)

The inside pockets house a tag, which will tell the story of the mini, and 3 little journals. The first journal is for writing the favorite memory of the holidays. There's a page for each family member that is large enough for a photo and some journaling.

The last two journals are for pictures of and journaling about our favorite gifts given and received. I've left the pockets a little sparse in case we want to add more photos.

Here's a photo of the set:

I hope you enjoyed a little peek at my family's "file under: Merry (& Bright)" album. Have a wonderful holiday season and don't forget to stop back by tomorrow for more fabulous inspiration.

15 Days of Holidays - Day 10

Hello!  It's day 10 of our 15 Days of the Holidays....and I will be sharing something a little bit different.  I don't actually do very many mini albums, so I have never done a December Daily (I know, *gasp*, lol!).  I do an album a year for each of my 5 kids (from birthday to birthday), and I try to keep up with a family album, too.  So, what I have here is a page representing today, which will go in my family album, along with pages for any other days that may stand out in the month of  December :)

Day 10 :

I used paper from the November Express kit on my page, specifically paper from Lilybee's 'Christmas Cheer' collection.

I hope this has inspired those of you who also don't do an album for the whole month of December, to still document what you do have time for :)  Happy Holidays!

15 Days of the Holidays-Day 9

Welcome to day 9 of our Christmas minis!  I opted to do a Christmas book/planner instead of a Christmas daily since I am already doing Project Life so our December will already be documented in that album:)  It is made from 6x6 kraft paper and the Simple Stories Handmade Holiday 6x6 paper pad.  To make it thicker or sturdier, add a piece of cardboard between each of your pages.  I keep this in my purse so I have it at all times.  Here is the cover of my Christmas book:

The next few pages are calendar pages.  I printed off pages from here for the whole month.

I made a tag for everyone in my family with some of their gift ideas.  That way they are easy to remember.  I didn't glue them down, just slipped them in a pocket so they (or I) can still add more ideas.

The next page is to hold all of my Christmas receipts to make it easy for returns.  I only glued down the sides and bottom so I can just slip them into the top.  Then it's my cards page.  I listed all of the people/families that we are planning to send Christmas cards to.  I will mark them off as I send them so I don't forget anyone:)

This page is reserved for a family picture that we'll take on Christmas!

Hope you enjoyed my little book.  Merry Christmas!!

15 Days of the Holidays - Day 7

Hello!  Christy Musack - TeamWorks Member here for day 7

of the 15 Days of Holidays event.

I got a head start on my album this year, knowing how busy the month of December can be.

I went with an 8x8 album to give room for photos and bit of creative elements too.  I wanted a book with an easy-to-assemble format. These top-load pages allow me to slip my album pages in-and-out and move them around as needed as I develop the book.

Keeping it simple during the assembly will allow me to go back and add more elements including the numbered days after the holidays - once my photos are developed.  I also kept to supplies in my stash (for the most part).

My cover features Simple Stories, Studio Calico, Jenni Bowlin, October Afternoon (mostly existing product from my stash) and a bit more:

Up Close:

I spritzed with Mister Hueys, added washi, twine, a doily, shipping tag

and even a paper clip-

A look at some of the pages inside:

Be sure to stop back tomorrow for Rosann's 15 Days of the Holidays project.

Happy Friday!

15 Days of the Holidays Day 6

Ho, ho, ho & Happy St. Nick!!  Jody here to give you a peak at my 6x6" December Traditions Mini Book.  I used a few sheets of wood grain patterned paper for my base and added Fancy Pants Home for Christmas, Studio Calico Wood Veneers & Mr Hueys, May Arts Burlap String, washi tapes and more!

This is where I'll document our yearly traditions.  Aren't those SC Wood Veneer Trees cute!!  I added a cute polka dot paper bag and tags for more hidden  journaling.  On the right side page, the jounaling block and little banner is from My Minds Eye All is Bright.  The washi tapes are from my stash.

My tip for you ~ Don't be afraid of vellum!!  This is Dear Lizzy's Treasured Terrace Vellum from her 5th & Frolic line.  This isn't a Christmas line, but it mixed in beautifully!  You just need to rember to place your embellishments or paper accordingly to the match each other on both sides.

Thank you for joining us again and make sure you stop back tomorrow to check out what Christy created.  I know it will be awesome!

You can also stop by my blog and check out how I made my 6x6" December Traditions Mini Book!

15 Days Of The Holidays - Day 5

Hello! Welcome to Day 5.

I am going to try to keep up with my December Daily this year. I started off  by creating a "base" book. Adding paper, and minimal embellishments. Don't worry, as I add my pictures to my album I will "junk it up" with lots of goodies.

Take a look at the cover of my album...

Pretty Simple. I want this to be fun, and not feel overwhelmed with everything else that is going on in December. I used mostly Echo Park and Basic Grey for my base album, while also adding in some Jenni Bowlin Tags and Bella Blvd stickers.

Some of my pages already have a theme to them, such as day 5. On the night of the 5th, St. Nick comes and fills the stockings with little goodies for the kids. My plan is to have photo's of the stockings hung, awaiting St. Nick. Day 6 will then be filled with lot's of smiles and goodies found in the stockings. We have other things planned through out the month of December that I will also include in my album and have pages pre planned for those days as well.

Here is a little peek at some of the other days in my album...

I hope you enjoyed a little glimpse into my December Daily, how is your's coming along?

Thanks for stopping by..

15 Days of Holidays - Day 4

Hi everyone... Janey here for day 4 of our 15 Days of the Holidays.   How many times do you try to plan your holidays and have sticky notes all over the place with all your information preparing for the big day?  Well to help solve the chaos, here is a Christmas Planner with all the information in one place.

The album is 4x6 and is filled with a selection of various different products from My Mind's Eye -"All is Bright" collection, Fancy Pants - "Home for the Christmas", Farmhouse -"Fair Skies Collection" and a few scraps from Teresa Collins - "Vintage Finds Theme Set".  I have inked everything with the Tim Holtz Distress Inks and used the distress pen for the journaling.  On the cover I used a Zva mini-flourish along with chipboard pieces from the various collections and ribbon from my personal stash.  I also have Stickles here and there on a few pages.

15 Days of the Holdays - Day 3

Hello, Christine here--and sharing day three of our 15 days of the Holidays Mini Albums.  I don't make many mini's--but after making this Holiday album, I see more mini's in my future.

My album:  I used a 4 x 5 Memory Book.  It started with 18 pages, however I glued pages together to create a chipboard thickness type book.  I have a total of 5 layout pages.

My cover.

For my album I used Mistletoe Theme Set. I also used a Digital image by Mabelle R O, Whimsy & Stars Studio.

Layout One of 5

The tree sentiment is clipart.

 Layout Two of 5

The quote sentiment is clipart.

 Layout Three of 5

The sentiment is clipart.

So do you have plans to make a Holiday Mini Album?  I know I am looking forward to adding photos from this Christmas to my mini album.  I hope I have inspired you to make your own.  Check out the dollar bins for alterable books, albums etc.

May your Christmas be a blessing this year and the many years ahead.

God Bless,

--Christine
