This week's project I am using the BasicGrey's Max & Whiskers collection (yes again!) and Melody Ross ChipArt. I was playing around with the tools for the effect I wanted for this project. I used the tools with crackle paint. I wanted to watch some how-to videos but didn't get the chance to see what other mediums she uses with the tools. I love how mine turned out. The project I made is using a new product from MemoryWorks. It is a door hanger by Creative Imaginations and is found in the "Trend Essentials" under "Shop Our Products". So here is my project I made using everything I mentioned.
“Wipe Your Paws” Door Hanger by Sharon Hill

*You can use any chipboard shape, crackle paint, and ink of your choice.
Step 1: Gather supplies.
Step 2: Paint the back of the door hanger with crackle paint. (I used Broken China)
Step 3: Paint the front side of the chipboard buckle with crackle paint. (I used scattered straw). Place door hanger and chipboard buckle aside to dry. The crackle paint dries in 10-15 minutes.
Step 4: Cut the solid yellowish/gold paper into a 3” X 4” piece. Round the corners of the paper using the ½” side of the Corner Chomper and sand all the edges of the paper for a worn look. Then, place letter stickers centered on the 3” X 4” to spell “Wipe Your Paws”. Place piece aside.
Step 5: While the crackle paint is still a little wet yet on the chipboard buckle piece, stamp the chipboard buckle using the Chip Arts tools with a stamp of your choice. (I used the diamond shape from the mini stamp set). Place buckle aside to finish drying.
Step 6: Paint the top 1/3 of the door hanger front with the same color crackle paint as used on the back. Set the door hanger aside to dry.
Step 7: Cut a 4-9/16” X 6” piece from the “Bubbles” paper. Cut 2, ¼ “ X 4-9/16” pieces from the striped paper. Ink edges of paper pieces as desired with colors of your choice. (I used Barn Door on the edges of the big piece).
Step 8: Adhere yellow/gold piece of paper centered and down ¾” from the top of the “Bubbles” piece of paper. Cut a 6 ¼” piece of ribbon and feed it through the chipboard buckle. Adhere the ribbon and buckle along the bottom edge of yellow/gold piece and onto the “Bubbles” piece of paper wrapping the ribbon around to the back of the “Bubble” piece of paper. Apply the paw prints rub-on on the yellow/gold paper to the right of the paper and between the words “your” and “paws” as shown.
Step 9: Adhere the pieces of paper to the front of the door hanger as shown. Start at the bottom of the door hanger and work your way up. Adhere one of the ¼” X 4 9/16” strips of the stripe paper to the bottom of the door hanger lining up the edges. Next, adhere the “Bubbles” paper to door hanger lining up the bottom edge of the paper with the top edge of the strip of striped paper. Lastly, adhere the other strip of striped paper to the door hanger along the top edge of the “Bubbles” paper.
Step 10: Adhere the flowers together and adhere to the top left above the “w” (or any place on the door hanger you want to place it). Hang the door hanger on the door knob of the front door and enjoy!
