15 Days of the Holidays - Day 7

 

Hello!  Christy Musack - TeamWorks Member here for day 7 

of the 15 Days of Holidays event.

I got a head start on my album this year, knowing how busy the month of December can be.

I went with an 8x8 album to give room for photos and bit of creative elements too.  I wanted a book with an easy-to-assemble format. These top-load pages allow me to slip my album pages in-and-out and move them around as needed as I develop the book.

Keeping it simple during the assembly will allow me to go back and add more elements including the numbered days after the holidays - once my photos are developed.  I also kept to supplies in my stash (for the most part).

My cover features Simple Stories, Studio Calico, Jenni Bowlin, October Afternoon (mostly existing product from my stash) and a bit more:

15 Days of the Holidays Day 6

 

 

Ho, ho, ho & Happy St. Nick!!  Jody here to give you a peak at my 6x6" December Traditions Mini Book.  I used a few sheets of wood grain patterned paper for my base and added Fancy Pants Home for Christmas, Studio Calico Wood Veneers & Mr Hueys, May Arts Burlap String, washi tapes and more!

 

 

 

 

This is where I'll document our yearly traditions.  Aren't those SC Wood Veneer Trees cute!!  I added a cute polka dot paper bag and tags for more hidden  journaling.  On the right side page, the jounaling block and little banner is from My Minds Eye All is Bright.  The washi tapes are from my stash.

 

 My tip for you ~ Don't be afraid of vellum!!  This is Dear Lizzy's Treasured Terrace Vellum from her 5th & Frolic line.  This isn't a Christmas line, but it mixed in beautifully!  You just need to rember to place your embellishments or paper accordingly to the match each other on both sides.

15 Days Of The Holidays - Day 5

Hello! Welcome to Day 5.

I am going to try to keep up with my December Daily this year. I started off  by creating a "base" book. Adding paper, and minimal embellishments. Don't worry, as I add my pictures to my album I will "junk it up" with lots of goodies.

Take a look at the cover of my album...

Pretty Simple. I want this to be fun, and not feel overwhelmed with everything else that is going on in December. I used mostly Echo Park and Basic Grey for my base album, while also adding in some Jenni Bowlin Tags and Bella Blvd stickers.

Some of my pages already have a theme to them, such as day 5. On the night of the 5th, St. Nick comes and fills the stockings with little goodies for the kids. My plan is to have photo's of the stockings hung, awaiting St. Nick. Day 6 will then be filled with lot's of smiles and goodies found in the stockings. We have other things planned through out the month of December that I will also include in my album and have pages pre planned for those days as well.

15 Days of Holidays - Day 4

Hi everyone... Janey here for day 4 of our 15 Days of the Holidays.   How many times do you try to plan your holidays and have sticky notes all over the place with all your information preparing for the big day?  Well to help solve the chaos, here is a Christmas Planner with all the information in one place.  

The album is 4x6 and is filled with a selection of various different products from My Mind's Eye -"All is Bright" collection, Fancy Pants - "Home for the Christmas", Farmhouse -"Fair Skies Collection" and a few scraps from Teresa Collins - "Vintage Finds Theme Set".  I have inked everything with the Tim Holtz Distress Inks and used the distress pen for the journaling.  On the cover I used a Zva mini-flourish along with chipboard pieces from the various collections and ribbon from my personal stash.  I also have Stickles here and there on a few pages.

15 Days of the Holdays - Day 3

Hello, Christine here--and sharing day three of our 15 days of the Holidays Mini Albums.  I don't make many mini's--but after making this Holiday album, I see more mini's in my future.

My album:  I used a 4 x 5 Memory Book.  It started with 18 pages, however I glued pages together to create a chipboard thickness type book.  I have a total of 5 layout pages.

For my album I used Mistletoe Theme Set. I also used a Digital image by Mabelle R O, Whimsy & Stars Studio.

Create an album that fits you and your family! If that means it is a recipe book or winter activities or even Elf on the Shelf album; tailor it to fit your needs. It will help you be more successful in completing the entire album.

15 Days of the Holidays - Day 1

Welcome to 15 Days of the Holidays here at MemoryWorks! The TeamWorks ladies have been hard at work behind the scenes putting together our own versions of December mini albums and for the next 15 days we are going to be sharing those albums with you! It is our hope that you will be inspired to create your own December mini album when you see just how easy one of these minis can be!

I'm excited to kick off our event by sharing my 25 Days of Christmas album with you. This is a small album sized for 4"x6" photos and coming in at 6 1/4" x 4 1/6". I created this album in an accordion style using the tutorial found HERE. I just adjusted the size to fit my concept.

On the inside I tried to keep everything clean and simple. I used the Lilly Bee Christmas Cheer 6x6 Pad for the inside of this album. I was really inspired by a single sheet of paper in this set that had the numbers 1 - 25 in circles.

I hand cut each number out and then layered it on a contrasting piece of paper from the pad. These numbers serve as the numbers for each of my days. I'll need to trim my 4x6 photos down but my plan right now is to take one photo each day and glue the photo into the book but only glue three sides of the photo.

On the unglued side I plan to slide in  a tag with journaling about the day behind the picture. This way the focus of my album will be the picture but I'll also have some journaling to remind myself about the day!

I'm excited to take my first picture today and I'm excited to see the finished version of my album. I hope you've enjoyed my album and see just how simple a December daily album can be. There will be so many more creative ideas from the other TeamWorks members over the next 14 days so I hope you will join us each day for all the inspiration we have to share!
