Inspiration Friday- Layouts and Cards

Hello and Happy Friday! I'm a little late with my Inspiration Friday post, but better late than never (I blame blogger)! I have a few projects to share with you today. So, let's just get right down to it......

First up is a layout using Jillibean Soup: Dutch Mustard Soup Theme Set and Journaling Sprouts.

Always Cute To Me

A Close up of the Journaling Sprout....

I also made a few mini cards with the left overs....
These mini cards are a great way to use up some of the scraps that "happened" while creating a layout.

And last but certainly not least, a layout using Simple Stories Ele.ment.ary theme set and Journaling Jots....

Our new MemoryWorks catalog is filled with tons of amazing products!!! If you haven't seen one yet head on over to the MemoryWorks website and find yourself a consultant on the consultant locator.

Thanks for stopping by, hope you have a fabulous weekend!!!!

Product Wednesday Product Tutorial: Crackle Accents

Hello! Today I want to share with you one of my favorite MemoryWorks products, Ranger's Crackle Accents. I love the look this stuff gives to my embellishments, and I know you will too. Here's a little tutorial to get you started with Crackle Accents.
Step 1: Gather your supplies. You'll need a chipboard shape, patterned paper, Basic Grey's Precision file set (mine is well-loved!), and Crackle Accents

Next, trace your chipboard shape onto the back or "wrong" side of your patterned paper and cut the shape out.

Now, adhere your patterned paper shape to the chipboard using a generous amount of Crackle Accents.

Next, using your file, sand the edges of the patterned paper until it is completely flush with the chipboard shape.

Next, apply a liberal amount of Crackle Accents over the entire surface of your patterned paper/chipboard piece. Set aside to dry for at least two hours. (8 is better, to allow the medium to cure)

Now, admire your finished piece! To me, it looks like a piece of jewelry. You can further enhance the crackle effect by gently bending your chipboard piece in each direction, and also by inking over the top of the piece with a Q-tip dipped in Distress Inks.

And here's a sneak peek at the project I created using my chipboard piece.
I know these photos don't come close to doing the items justice, but what I hope you've learned is that Crackle Accents is fun, fabulous, and user-friendly. Try some - and when you do, be sure to link back here. I'd love to see what you create!

Inspiration Friday - Jillibean Soup: Chilled Strawberry Soup

Hi, my name is Sheri Feypel. I started scrapbooking about 6 years ago and joined MemoryWorks a few years later. My scrapbooking style is not defined, it’s sort of go with the flow-ish. Sometimes I like to “junk it up” with lots of embellishments and other time’s I like to keep it “clean.” It all depends on my mood. My boys are the main subject of most of my scrapping, sometimes my husband or the dog grace a page. Besides for my MemoryWorks business, I am also an instructor at my local scrapbook store where I teach card making and layout classes. I am also the co-host of large crops with a friend. We hold day and weekend crops throughout the year. I also enjoy taking photos and exploring all that my camera can do. Those are some of the things that I do in my spare time; I also hold a full time job outside of my home.

Today I want to share a quick card in honor of Mother's Day....

Wishing you the sweetest day ever....

This card was quick and easy to create, I used some of the new Jillibean Soup products from the new Memory Works catalog.....

Jillibean Soup: Cardstock Stickers- Chilled Strawberry

Jillibean Soup: Kraft Theme Set- Chilled Strawberry

Thanks for stopping by today!  Happy Mother's Day to all of the Mom's out there!!

Product Wednesday

Lisa Harris – Media Team

Lisa has been a MemoryWorks consultant for 3 years, and this year begins her term as a member of the TeamWorks team. Lisa has been scrapping for more than 10 years, but has always been a crafter at heart. She’s done it all, from cross-stitching to painted woodcrafts, but has found that scrapbooking is where her heart is. So much so that she began teaching scrapbooking and papercrafting classes in 2008 and has grown a successful MemoryWorks business since then. She is a full-time third grade teacher, and in her spare time enjoys spending time with her husband and 2 sons. She also enjoys blog-surfing, reading, and perfecting her photography skills.

From Lisa:

Wow! May already, and I am super-excited to be sharing with you during my first month on the blog!

Lately I've been having some fun with Basic Grey's Hello Luscious goodies, and thought I'd share Linkmy projects with you here. Enjoy!

I'll be back next Wednesday with a "Luscious" product tutorial!
