Guest Designer - Norhalma Verzosa.

Hello! Welcome to another edition of Guest Designer Thursday! Please give a warm welcome to our October Guest Designer Norhalma Verzosa!
Hi everyone, this is Norhalma. I am so thrilled and beyond excited to be posting and meeting you all as this month's Guest Designer. A bit about me: I am 29 years old and I love to travel. I was born and raised in the Philippines and moved here in Seattle more than two years ago to be with my husband. After 5 years of wonderful marriage, we are blessed with a baby daughter who celebrated her 1st birthday last June.

I started scrapbooking around 10 years ago, but probably way earlier than that. Back then, I use to keep journals and memorabilia of some sorts. I remember collecting pretty papers and swapping scented stationeries with my grade school friends. This addiction..err, hobby of mine lasted until I was old enough to come to my senses that there's a bigger world of paper-lovers. It seemed so long ago when cutting my photos into different shapes, adding a sticker, and writing a caption under it (e.g. "From L-R:" followed by names of everyone in the picture)  are all that there is to do when making a photo album and that cut-outs from different magazines and colorful paper are already my treasure trove. Well, you could just imagine how it all change when I got here. I must've slept and woke up on paper-paradise! Hubby, being the supportive and loving man that he is, bought me bunch of supplies and tools (I never knew existed) that made my old stuff seem so ancient. Then of course, online shopping, that eventually led me to finding Simple Stories. I joined Memory Works immediately after seeing the rest of the amazing products they carry.

Today, I would like to share with you some of the latest projects I've been working on. Since Halloween is just a few weeks away, I've created this "Spooky Paper Treats" from Pebbles' Tricks and Treats and Authentique's Bewitched line.
I used my die-cutting machine for the pillow box. Another option is to use glassine bags. Surely, children would love to be tricked and treated with this.

Then I made this card, too:
Who says Halloween should always be gloomy and scary. This fun card will definitely bring a cheer to someone's day.

This is all for now. I look forward to share more of my artwork and projects with you this whole month of October. Thanks for dropping by and I'll see you around!

Adorable projects Norhalma!! Thanks for sharing with us!

I'd love one of those treat containers, forget the kids, lol. And I agree, not all Halloween cards need to be scary. TFS!

Welcome to the team Norhalma! Your description of the early days of scrapbooking totally hit home with me! I remember 8x10 construction paper, stickers, shaped photos and the like! Amazing how far we have come! I just adore your projects and I can't wait to see what else you share with us this month!
