I printed the digital elements, cut out the circles, fringed and inked the edges with an American Crafts Memory Marker:
Then I adhered Petaloo Flowers to the circles, attached strips of paper leftover from my Simple Stories Life Documented Kit and curled the edges of each strip:
After making five flowers, I added them to my scrapbook layout, along with some digital elements word strips:

I also wanted to make a birthday card for a loved one and used the same technique on the flower, but made it simpler:

For this Simple Stories flower, I punched out the center of a digital elements circle, adhered smaller strips of paper from my Simple Stories Life Documented Kit and once again, curled the edges of the strips:
What's really cool about the digital elements is that they can be printed in various sizes. Here are the smaller circles I shrunk down before printing and you can compare it to the normal (100%) sized circle:
