Inspiration Friday - Kelly Holbrook

Kelly has been a Memoryworks consultant since 2006, and scrapbooking since 1998. She is a stay at home mother to five children whom she homeschools. When she isn't busy with that, or scrapbooking, she enjoys knitting, running, and photography. Some of her favorite techniques include embossing, stamping, and water color. She like clean lines on most of her projects, with just a little something to make them pop.

Hi!  It's Kelly, and I am here to share a page today that uses up some bits and pieces left from Echo Park's Charming theme set.

Supplies used:  Echo Park Charming 12 x 12 paper pack, Journaling Cards, Element Stickers, and Alpha Stickers.

I love going back and trying to use up leftovers. It forces creativity, and sometimes results in some of the best pages!

So, even if you think there's not a lot left from a kit...go back and look again. Challenge yourself, it's fun to see what you can come up with.

Inspiration Friday?

Happy Sunday!  I know, I know this was supped to be posted on Friday.  Modern technology huh? I had it set to post, went camping and realized it didn't work.  So here we are.  Anyhow,  I'm Janey Pumphrey - TeamWorks Member, just stopping by today to share a bit about myself, my style and a layout I created.

I've been scrapbooking pretty much most of my life.  When I was young, my grandmother made sure on every little trip we took that we had a photo, postcard and maybe a pressed flower or a little something from our journey.  That of course is the basis of a scrapbook page.  I began my journey with MemoryWorks in 2006 as a consultant and have been a TeamWorks Member for the past 4 years.  I am a mother to four grown daughters, and a grandmother to the "seven" wonders of my world!  I have an eclectic style for scrapbooking with my family, my pups Caesar and Dexter and my surroundings as the sources of my inspiration!  I have been married for over 32 epic years to my "Hunka, Hunka".  We live in a small town near Lake Tahoe.  I have a passion for scrapbooking and have always been sentimental and a hoarder of craft supplies!  My hobbies outside of scrapbooking include photography, biking, cooking, sewing and painting!  I love everything about MemoryWorks... the wonderful products, awesome customer service and a very supportive online community.  I am thrilled to have the opportunity to explore my creativity here with all of you and be a part of such an amazing company!

I Created one of my favorite 6x6 cards using the Lily Bee Jingle 6x6 Paper Pad, Cardstock, Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist, Crop-a-dial, Stickles, Glue Dots, 3D Glue Dots, Tim Holtz Distressed Ink, Zva Mini Curly Q's, trimmer, embossing tool.  I used my Cricut to cut the skates, wreath, bow, and sentiment.  Then I just layered it all to get the effect I wanted.  

I Created this fun layout using the Fancy Pants St. Nick Theme Set, St. Nick Cards, St. Nick Tab Stickers, St. Nick Buttons, St. Nick Chipboard Pieces, Ribbon, Adhesive Glue Dots, Tim Holtz Distress Ink, Blending tool, Stickles, Memory Marker, Trimmer, ribbon and buttons from my stash.  I loved using the Stickles to enhance the embellishments on the page not to mention the subjects in the photos.

Hello again, and Happy Friday!

Today I'm back to share my favorite line from the current MemoryWorks catalog, along with a 12x12 layout I created.

I absolutely love this "Charming" line from Echo Park.  The wood grain and vintage camera elements in this line drew me right in and I knew I had to create with it!

 It is the right amount of masculine to use for my 8 year old son and all of his totally boy endeavors - like the one I'm sharing here today.

In addition to the Charming line, I also used Bella Blvd yellow chevron washi tape and Studio Calico wood veneer cameras from the current catalog.

Inspiration Friday

Happy Friday!  I'm Christy Musack - TeamWorks Member, stopping by today to share a bit about myself, my scrap style and a layout I created.

I started scrapbooking nearly 15 years ago – now it is my passion, addiction and creative outlet.  I love to play with patterned paper and embellishments of every kind.  Scrapbooking allows me to capture the story of day-to-day events of my family in an creative way that pictures alone cannot.  I love to mix and match products from all my favorite companies.  My creations are mostly 12x12 layouts with occasional cards and altered projects for gifts or make and takes for crop events.  I love to create with earthy tones, lots of embellishments and a spattering of Mister Huey’s.  My signature also includes inking on every page or project.  I joined MemoryWorks as a Consultant in October 2006 and I'm so excited and honored to be part of the MemoryWorks Team for the second consecutive year.

This layout incorporates some of the things I mentioned above (ink, Mister Huey's, earthy tones).  It is created with a KI calendar page, a bit of Jillibean Soup Apple Cheddar, along with some newer elements to my stash: Bella Blvd washi tape and Studio Calico wood veneer heart.

Inspiration Friday - Sheri Feypel

Hi! I'm back with another week of Inspiration for you! This week I was supposed to choose my favorite line that Memory Works carries. I have so many favorites that it was hard to choose just one, but I managed to narrow it down for this post. So, I chose the new Aweso{me} line by Simple Stories. Being the mother of boys, this collection is right up my alley. I have a teenage boy and a younger boy and sometimes it is difficult to find a product line that works for both age groups, this one is definitely a winner in my book. Check out the layout that I created....

Inspiration Friday- Sheri Feypel

Hi, my name is Sheri Feypel and I am so excited to be on TeamWorks  for another  year! I started scrapbooking about 7 years ago and joined MemoryWorks a few years later. My scrapbooking style is not defined, it’s sort of go with the flow-ish. Sometimes I like to “junk it up” with lots of embellishments and other time’s I like to keep it “clean.” It all depends on my mood.  My boys are the main subject of most of my scrapping, sometimes my husband or the dog grace a page. Besides for my MemoryWorks business, I am also an instructor at my local scrapbook store where I teach card making and layout classes. I am also the co-host large crops and weekend scrapbooking  retreats  with a friend. I also enjoy taking photos and exploring all that my camera can do.  When I am not scrapbooking  you can find me hanging  out with my family, blogging, shopping  for scrapbook  supplies or doing laundry

Inspiration Friday - Simple Stories Generations

Hi! I'm back this week to share some projects made with my current favorite product line.  Maybe it's because I just got it recently, or maybe it's because I like it more than I thought I would...but I'm loving Simple Stories' Generations collection.  I don't do a lot of heritage-type scrapbook pages, I scrap mainly about my kids. But, there is so much more to this collection than that...and, it compliments the month of February perfectly!

This first page is actually the one I created this month's Corporate Website Inspiration, but I wanted to show it with photos and journaling.

These photos are of my baby sister and her fiance.  They are getting married in September.  You can find the full instructions to make this layout your own here.

The next project is a card made with one of the photo transparencies.

Remember:

I just trimmed the length down to 5.5, and sandwiched the transparency between cardstock and patterned paper on the top, and on the bottom.  Then, I added some stickers and rhinestones.  The little card on the inside for the sentiment is from the 6x6 paper pad.

The colors match my living room very nicely, so I made this last project to sit on top of my piano.

It is a 5x7 frame, and was the perfect size for a little patterned paper, one of the 4x6 photo mats, a journaling card, and a few embellishments.

Hi! I'm back with my first post for 2012! I'm excited to be a part of TeamWorks again this year, and even more excited to show off some of my recent projects.  My first is a layout created with Simple Stories' 100 Days of Summer collection. Now, I know my seasons are a bit off...but it's what I'm working on right now :)

Sizzling Summer Fun:

I never get tired of using this line of products, so bright and cheerful :) And, even though it comes with some amazing letter stickers, I've barely used them...because of all the alternative title options in the collection.

My next two projects are also layouts, this time using Crate Paper's Toybox collection.

Creative Friday

Hello!! I'm Caroline Piercy and I am excited to be a member of TeamWorks this year. Today I'll be sharing a little bit about me and a few projects as well. I live in a small farming town in Royal City, WA. My husband farms and does construction and I am a Stay-at-home mom. We have 4 kids that are 9, 7, 3, and 1 who keep me plenty busy and who are the subjects of the majority of my scrapbook pages. I have been scrappin' off and on for almost 15 years now. I love the creative process of scrapping and love to watch my kids look through their albums too. I am more of a simple scrapper and tend to use a lot of distressing, inking, and sewing on my layouts. I also love to read, sew, quilt and cook/bake for the family. I'm looking forward to a great scrapping year in 2012 and hope that you are too!! My projects today are both from Lily Bee lines, one of my favorite scrapping companies. Both are of my oldest son, Tyler, on some of his adventures!

Creative Friday

Welcome to the FIRST Creative Friday of 2012!

I'm Lacey Igo, leader of the MemoryWorks TeamWorks team. I'm so excited about this year and for the team to share their wonderful talents with everyone and inspire you!  I live in Moorhead, MN (across the river from Fargo) with my boyfriend of 8 years Matt. We have 2 nephews (my brother's kids) and 1 niece (Matt's brother's daughter). I've been scrapbooking for over 10 years, but crafting and photo taking has always been a huge part of my life. Besides scrapbooking, I love to knit and crochet, I dabble in photography and I dance (Jazz, Hip Hop & Lyrical). This past fall I decided to go back to school to get a 2nd BFA. This time around I'm going to school for Graphic Design. I work full time as an office manager as a roofing company and help out at Gasper's School of Dance with their PR director. I look forward to share my passion and love of scrapbooking this year!

The project I created to share with you is with the newest addition to the Simple Stories family - Year.o.graphy. I created a mini album using a chipboard album that has been sitting in my stash for quite some time. I encourage you to go through your own stash and find something you tossed to the side with an intention to use it and break it out! Use it! ;)

I inserted some of my own 4x6 pages within the album and used the 6x6 Year.o.logy paper pad to complete this album. I did this 2 years ago, made an album before the year began, and filled it with pictures throughout the year of highlights.  Check out more of my work on my blog (which has been neglected lately).
