Day 28 - 30 Days, 30 Cards

Welcome to day 28 and of course HAPPY THANKSGIVING!! I hope everyone is enjoying time with loved ones in their life! I'm spending my day with my husband and my puppy Spock! I have a feeling we won't be getting out of our PJs.

Today's sketch is from the Authentique blog.
I love the honey combs on this sketch and it is what drew me in when I saw it. I kept my design very minimal and clean. I decided to make my honey combs white, the same color as my card base. But to give them a little life, I ran them through my manual die cut machine in various embossing folders, which added some texture.
Supplies: Teresa Collins - Santa's List (6x6 Paper Pad); American Crafts - White Cardstock; Studio Calico - Wood Veneer (Trees, from 2012 collection); Die cut tree (design by myself), Echo Park - Tis the Season (Sticker); Vellum, Honeycomb punch, various embossing folders.

Don't forget, you have a few more days to enter your card(s) for a chance to win a prize package from the MemoryWorks home office. Check out the 30 Days, 30 Cards link here on the blog for more information and how to submit!

Come back in December for even more daily inspiration from the TEamWorks team with their renditions of a December Daily!

Have a wonderful and happy Thanksgiving!

Day 26 -- 30 Days, 30 Cards

Welcome to Day 26!! I can't believe this month is winding down and we are almost full swing into the holiday season!

Today sketch is from Mojo Monday.
Here is my take on the sketch above. Instead of two rectangles I actually added a gold doily. I love this line by Glitz Design and think it has a great festive feeling to it.

Supplies: Glitz Design - Hello December (12x12 Pattern Paper - Floral, Title & Accent Stickers, Flair); Gold Doily & Natural Twine (Spiegelmom Scrap); American Krafts - Kraft Cardstock.

Thanks for stopping by today! Don't forget to create your own cards based off the daily sketches for your chance to win a prize package from the MemoryWorks Home Office! Check out this LINK for more information!

Don't forget to join us in December for Daily inspiration with the TeamWorks December Daily event!

Happy Tuesday and happy scrappin!!

Day 24

Welcome to a belated day 24 of  30 days of cards.
I chose a sketch from the Studio Calico.
They are a great source of sketches and inspiration.
My card uses the Bella Blvd. Christmas Countdown collection.

Day 23 30 Days, 30 Cards

Aloha, Gia back again for my second card sketch this month. As we near the end of the month I hope you will use the time left to link up some cards for a chance to win a prize! Plus... its fun, and I hate to say it but there are less than five weeks left before Christmas! Speaking of Christmas, you won't want to miss what the Design Team has in store for December. A month of December Daily posts! We have nine different albums-all unique and special just to inspire YOU!

Okay, getting back to my card-here is the sketch from Page Maps.

Here is my take on it.

I decided to break up the symmetry of the three elements just a bit in order to accommodate my friend-- the Glitz Hello December deer. I was able to find the hearts among the coordinating stickers (that was just a lucky coincidence) but rather than use a postal cancellation stamp which would have left the overall design flat I decided to get a little bumpy with a "Be Merry" Flair from Lawn Fawn as my round element. Sometimes a sketch is a jumping off point for your own creativity- so I say go ahead and jump away!

Thanks for stopping by and don't forget to link up to play along.

Welcome back to another card post.  We are nearing the end, but I hope you are all playing with us!  We have enjoyed sharing with you!!

I found this sketch over at the My Favorite Things blog

And here is my inspiration for it.

These papers are from Echo Park's Tis the Season, and I used the journaling cards to make this card quick and easy.
Thanks for playing along.

Day 19: 30 Days, 30 Cards

Hi again!  I'm so glad that you are here today!  I have a really simple card to share with you today.

Below is my inspiration sketch, it can be found at: Retro Sketches

Below is my card.  This was so simple, I used a sheet of the 6 x 6 paper and stamped the holly leaves using My Minds Eye Merry Mistletoe stamp set that I then cut around and added some red bling for the holly berries.  So simple, I let the paper be the bulk of the design.  Easy Peasy!

Come back tomorrow for more awesomeness!  Check out the 30 Days, 30 Cards page for information on submitting your cards and your chance to win a prize!!

Day 18 of 30 Cards!

Only 36 days until Christmas... WHAT?!   Yes, my scrappy friends it's true.  Here in Wisconsin we've already had a dusting of snow.  It didn't last long, but we still got it just the same!  Just for fun, here's a link to a Christmas Countdown Clock HERE

November is whizzing right by us!  Have you created some cards to link up yet??  I have created more than I've posted so far but will have to catch up on my creative blog this week.  We had our youngest daughter's 2 year birthday party on Saturday.  Lot's of cuteness to say the least!  So, don't forget to link up on the Memory Works Blog-30 Days, 30 Cards page HERE.

So, onto Day 18 during this month of card making madness!  Here's my sketch from Freshly Made Sketches.

And my card!  I created with Fancy Pants, Merry Little Christmas, Simple Stories December Documented (black chalkboard paper), Studio Calico & Lawn Fawn Wood Veneers, a doily trimmed in half and my favorite May Arts natural burlap string.  This was a very simple and quick card to create.

And a closer view...

Thanks for tagging along this month!  We're loving all the Christmas card inspiration going on around here and we hope you are too.

Now, if you've created a few cards this month please link them up for your chance at a fabulous prize from Memory Works!  You can go to the linking page by clicking on 30 Days, 30 Cards in the top of the left side bar.  If you haven't created any cards yet, we hope you can make time to create in your busy schedule.  Many of these sketches are fantastic for using up scraps of patterned papers and take the guess work out of your design.

Happy card making!
