Banners are so much fun to add to a layout and are a great way to use up scraps. Over in the studio Sheri has challenged us to add a banner to a project. I know it might be strange to scrap my old vehicles, but for some reason it is how I roll. My husband recently sold this truck on Craig's List and picked up a smaller truck that is better on gas and has a cap to cover his tools. I couldn't help playing with this photo and some Simple Stories Awesome papers.
Another one bites the dust. Has a musical ring to it, huh? I love the double-sided papers and the versatility they offer. The two banner stickers came in the August MemoryWorks Express kit and the colors worked beautifully with the Awesome papers. The alphas and index card are Lily Bee, another favorite of this scrapper and the bingo card was another MWE kit piece. Song titles and lyrics make for great titles and journaling. I bet you are now singing this song in your head right now. It sort of adds audio to a layout.
A close-up featuring the layered banner, one a sticker, the other hand cut. The little flag is also made from scratch, a scrap of paper wrapped around a wooden toothpick. So go ahead, add a banner to your next layout.
