Another Month Gone By........

Can you believe September is almost over? Time is flying by fast. We live now-a-days in a fast pace lifestyle. We are constantly busy that we forget to stop and enjoy the moment because time flies by if we don't. The September MemoryWorks Express kit is beautiful and makes you stop and think about home and family. The kit makes you want to cherish these memories before they are gone. This kit reminds you of what it most important to you in your life. The following projects by a few of the TeamWorks members, shows what is important to them, home and family.

First up is Alison Hammond's adorable Mini Tag Album. I love everything she did with the album of her kids. Then we have Tammi Bennett's idea of what home is to her in her layout she created from this kit. She also made some cute cards as well. And finally, we have the handy Altered Serving Tray made by Kemi Forestieri of her new home. How cute is that!

Creative ideas to use up your stash!

Last Saturday, fellow TeamWorks member Sarah and I hosted two live chats on the MemoryWorks Consultant message board. We scrapped and yapped about several practical & creative ideas using your STASH! We have to make room for all the NEW products MemoryWorks is carrying, so get creating with these out-of-the-box ideas!

Give your ideas, sketches and notes a cute home in a creative binder. After measuring the binder, I created a “page” to insert into the front cover, back cover and spine. Pick some supplies and go create!

TeamWorks Member Sarah Crawford created this little handy grocery list and coupon holder all in one! Check out the instructions on the photos. Great idea Sarah!

Consultants: want to see more? You can see the rest of the ideas over on the message board! Be sure to say hi!

Happy Scrappin!

What's your favorite Holiday?

From playing in the leaves to standing under the mistletoe, it's time get out all those holiday pictures stacking up from last year! Because LOTS of great new Halloween, Fall, and Christmas items are now available at MemoryWorks.

While it still seems too early to think about Christmas, I have to point out one of my favorite Christmas sets: the Bo Bunny Tis the Season Theme Set (which is only available for a limited time). I also love the new Basic Grey Indian Summer line because I really like "non-traditional" color combinations for seasons and holidays.

In spite of all the great new things, I have to admit the product I'm totally addicted to right now is not brand new and is not seasonal. But it is super cute! It's the Pebbles Chips. 70 pieces come in this adorable packaging, both glittered and regular. These come in every color you could ever want. I think I have red, yellow, orange, and green and I have used them on 5 or 6 of my last layouts.

So whether you need to jazz up your pages with some new embellishments or get caught up on your holiday photos, MemoryWorks has what you need!

September MemoryWorks Express Kit

September09 MWE Kit Homespun

This month’s Express kit is awesome! With all the goodies and pretty patterned paper in pretty patterns and colors, makes this kit breath-taking. As usual with all the kits, the possibilities are endless as to what one can do and make using the items in the kit. And to prove that theory, check out TeamWorks member Sarah Crawford’s projects she made so far using the items in the kit. I love the Flower Pencils she made. And the Fall Card is pretty too. I love what she did using Distress Crackle Paint on one of the chipboard trees that came with the kit.

Septembers Ideas and Inspiration

It’s that time of year! Cooler days and nights, leaves are starting to change, fall is in the air. But best of all, the kids are back in school! Now there is more “me time” to get things done that have been neglected over the summer. With all the new scrapbooking products coming into the MemoryWorks warehouse, there are excellent fall and school choices to scrap those “first day of school” pictures that you have taken. MemoryWorks TeamWorks member Janey Pumphrey did just that. She created some cute layouts and useful items from one of the many Creative Imaginations collections that MemoryWorks now carry. I love how Janey even incorporated photos of back to school shopping in a layout. I especially love the counting book. What an awesome idea for the little one just starting school for the first time.

I'm a little batty....

There was a little chill in the air this morning and all around me (especially at the stores!) I see the signs of fall! In only 2 short weeks, summer will end and my favorite season will begin! I love all the warm rich hues, the crisp air and of course my favorite holiday...Halloween! While poking around a new store in my area, I happened upon these cute bat chipboard shapes...good price, fun to decorate and I was hooked! How uncanny, when I arrived home there sat a familiar square box on my front porch...filled with Halloween goodies! Pink Paislee, MME, all there for me to use! So here it is for your consideration and inspiration...

What an easy project to make for your Halloween decor!

For this project I used Pink Paislee Halloween paper pack, MME Glittered Chipboard and Pebbles Orange Candy Dots. I also used the Thickers Prancer letters (an older set, but it looks much like the giftbox set!)

The steps were easy and you can alter this however you like...

1. Trace the bat template onto your paper. Cut it out and use your favorite adhesive to stick it on!
2. Using a coordinating paper, create smaller pieces to accentuate your bat.
3. Sand and distress the edges with ink.
4. Punch three holes (evenly spaced) at the bottom of your bat. Add ribbons and hanging embellishments of your choice.
5. Add a ribbon hanger and you are done!

Have fun creating some fun Halloween decor this fall!
